I’m totes a hater on the new Daft Punk album.
Breath life into music - that is the motto but to accomplish that they just make really well produced vocoder jams set to entirely tired and cliche top 40 chord progressions; for almost the entire thing, there is only, one horribly uninspired chord progression per song.
I had to go back to Discovery (feel like the standard nerd clinging to beloved classics) and make sure all was right, and it is! Holy shit Discovery is twice as good to me right now. Thankful for that record.
I feel like the singer from The Game of Love addressing the Bots.
Some great details on the record though, and it does sound SO good, technically you can tell tons of work went into it which IS a bit refreshing; still creatively stagnant tho.

It’s long been known that Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis were making plans to record together the year before Hendrix’s death in 1970, but it turns out they were hoping that Paul McCartney would join them on bass. Hendrix, Davis and jazz drummer Tony Williams sent a telegram on Oct. 21, 1969, to the Beatles’ Apple Records, hoping to get McCartney in for a session.
Fuck, make this happen anyways, Universe.
